Welcome back golfers! We plan to open on April 29, and are able to do so because many of you pre-paid your memberships. Thank you! When MCC closed last fall, it looked like the club was gone for good. But so many folks expressed sadness and promised they would contribute to help it rise again, with new leadership. Here we are-- as a labor of love. We are not paid, so 100% of proceeds goes into the club.
For generations, this club has been a kind of community center, offering much more than golf. To everyone who loves this Peterborough landmark, please give what you can so many more wonderful memories will be made here.
You may have gotten married, or attended a wedding here. Or you celebrated another occasion: Graduation. Anniversary. Retirement. Birthday. Basket Bingo. Chamber meeting. Awards Banquet. Memorial reception.
For decades family and friends have chosen to gather here, and we want that tradition to continue.
Under new management and a new name, Hilltop Golf Course, LLC's first step is to open for golf. Next, we will work to make the function hall available as soon as possible so you can plan your next celebration.
Give what you can, and please share this campaign via email and Facebook so that everyone, near and far can a be a part of saving this special place.
100% of proceeds will go towards grounds keeping equipment and supplies, as well as banquet hall kitchen appliances, furniture, utensils. If we cannot purchase the existing equipment from the former entity, then we will purchase the best equipment at the best price.
With no paid staff, we have eliminated the substantial payroll expense. All of the organizing, licensing, incorporating, ordering golf carts, contracting the groundskeeper, creating a new website, Facebook page, course cleanup and so much more is the work of volunteers. So thank you for your financial support and/or your volunteer time. We need both.
Help spread the word! And remember, we also accept cash and checks. We hope to reach more people online, but you can always give the old fashioned way!
