Help Me Go To STEM-Space Academy
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Isabella and I am a 7th grade girl who loves robotics, engineering, anime, manga, 5SOS, and pizza!
I am one of 25 Emerson Middle School's Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Academy students who has been given the opportunity to attend the U.S. Space & Rocket Center's Space Academy in Huntsville, Alabama during spring break (I wont have to miss any regular school).
As a Space Academy trainee, I will personally get to experience the future of space travel and use my engineering skills when we design, build, and launch a rockets. I am super excited that I'll get to experience simulated space missions and hopefully meet and train next to real NASA astronauts!!!
Even though my single-mom works, the trip is really expensive and my family needs help paying for my flight, camp registration, and cost of attending. First-half of the amount needs be paid by December 16, 2016. The second-half is due January 9, 2017.
Even though I have a learning disability and sometimes school is super challenging (I used to hate school), but being part of my STEM Academy makes me want to go to school. I have gotten better at Math and now I understand how machines around me work. I especially love robotics, because even though the coding can be frustrating, once I get it right it feels good watching all my hard work actually make my robot due what I want it to do.
Any extra money raised, I will use to help those of my fellow STEM nerds, whose families also need help paying to go.
Thank you for making time to read this.
I appreciate any donations and your support of my education and love for STEM!
