Recovering from Lyme

We have finally found a doctor who will treat my mom for Lyme disease.
We need to raise funds as soon as possible for transportation and treatment.
OHIP only covers a few things. It now costs $2000 out of pocket a month for different treatments that she is taking.
The $6000 goal is to cover three months of medication for our mom which is not covered by OHIP or her insurance.
Everyone is hoping and praying that our Mom gets better!

Our mom Marilyn, has had Lyme disease for 14 years now and is bedridden. She is an elementary school teacher, but lost her career due to Lyme disease. She was bitten by a Lyme infected tick, in the summer of 2003 and contracted the disease in Nova Scotia.
Since then, we have been in contact with many Doctors in Ontario and across Canada.
She has tested positive for Lyme disease, however, due to Medical guidelines, Doctors in Canada simply will not acknowledge and treat Late Stage Lyme Disease.
Her devastating journey has seen her try countless different approaches including short term antibiotics which when she was taking them, there was notable improvement.
She is now taking a Lyme protocol from a Naturopathic Doctor, to fight the bacteria. The Naturopathic treatment just doesn't seem to be enough to beat the bacteria. She is now on IV antibiotics.
