I would have never thought that two years ago, as I was marrying the love of my life, that i would be sitting here today, trying to raise funds to save my husbands life.
The horrid truth that my husband has stage 2 (almost stage 3) testicular cancer unfolded after going to the doctor after a sleepless night enduring terrible abdominal and back pain.
"If you don't do chemo, you will die" our then urologist uttered out with a blank stare, a numbness probably obtained after staring death in the face too many times before us. As prescribed by our doctor, we scheduled an emergency surgery to remove his left testicle just days later. He has never been the same since then and can barely walk. The cancer is only getting worse by the week. However, we don't believe in Chemotherapy, and believe that there are other less poisonous, yet powerful treatments such as the Gurson Theory or other conventional treatments that unfortunately, are not available or even legal in the states. There is a hospital in Germany that offers state-of-the-art cancer treatments with a very high success rate treating this type of cancer which we are praying to go to, however, it just does not seem possible with our current financial situation.
My husband, who just turned 25 in June, and I just spent our savings opening a spiritual healing center about a month ago. The Center offers yoga classes, free seminars and free bi-weekly group meetings trying to promote self growth and spiritual community. Dealing with my own heart, which carries the deeply difficult and real fear of loosing my husband has not been easy.
With hospital bills piling on high, me juggling two jobs while being his primary care taker, I am reaching out to our community to raise funds for my husbands medical treatment.
