Grant Ranch DI Team
The 5th grade Grant Ranch School Destination Imagination team qualified for the Global tournament on May 22-27, 2018 in Knoxville, Tennessee. Grant Ranch is a Title 1 School in Denver Public Schools.
Destination Imagination (DI) builds on 21st Century Skills while using the creative process: recognize a problem, imagine the solution, initiate and collaborate on a solution, assess the process/solution, and celebrate.
Our students have grown as leaders and critical thinkers by participating in DI. Six students have been working since September on their DI challenge. They are FIRST year participants and have made it to the big tournament! These students have shown perseverance, grit and determination throughout the whole process. I am so proud of the work they have done and their growth mindset. They are in it to win it! Any money raised will support the team in attending Globals. The cost per person to attend Globals is around $1,400. This includes transportation, lodging, food, and the tournament. Help us reach our goal! If we are unable to reach our goal, we will use raised funds for future DI teams. We need funds by May 1st so that we will be able to determine if we can afford Globals. We will send supporters an update of our progress at Globals if you provide your contact information. We also will recognize donors at our Morning Meetings that are held daily. Please help us develop our future leaders!
