Fundraiser for Pam Pingeton & Family

Donation protected
Pam Pingeton is the most positive person you will ever meet and she needs your help.  Pam is warm, loyal, smart, witty, and selfless. Given her positive and funny disposition some may not know that she has been in treatment for breast cancer for the past nine years.

First diagnosed in June 2011 with early stage breast cancer, she completed chemotherapy and surgery with the hope of being cancer free.  In February 2016 she learned her cancer had become metastatic - spread to her liver, lungs, spine and lymph nodes. While there is no cure for stage 4 metastatic cancer,  for three years Pam has undergone many treatments and procedures to keep her cancer in check. Unfortunately several chemotherapies have failed and her situation now is dire with no effective treatments left to consider.  Pam will spend her last few months enjoying family and friends and in spiritual reflection.

Pam was a teacher for more than ten years and worked as an elementary teacher in the Town of Wayland until 2018. She was the sort of teacher, energetic and engaging, who was always hugging and encouraging all students. She retired reluctantly and brokenhearted and is now receiving disability benefits which are woefully inadequate to meet the obligations of a dual income family with two kids in college.

Pam and Jeff are remarkably grateful for the outpouring of love and support they've received in the past from their communities they live and work in.  The focus now must turn to Pam's family and the financial stress they are experiencing. Without life insurance, Pam is deeply concerned with how her family -Jeff, Daniel, and Caroline- will pay medical bills, end of life care, and burial costs. They simply do not have the means to pay these expenses.  Additionally, Pam is concerned with how her family will afford to stay in their home without her disability payments once she is gone. She hopes they can maintain their home after her passing for at least as long as Daniel and Caroline are in college.

Please consider contributing what you can to this fund to help toward the mounting medical bills, her funeral costs and helping this family stay in their home.

Thank you - Team Pam
