Antonio Peetoom
Donation protected
On Monday December 7, 2015, Antonio Peetoom was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL), a blood cancer. We were shocked and couldn’t believe our ears. Antonio handled it very well! ALL is highly treatable, however, the treatment plan, which consists of chemotherapy, is a long process. When the end of winter-break approached, his classmates were returning to school and Antonio, while in and out of the hospital, called in for his classes. He would be missing the remainder of the most important year of high school: junior year. He was enrolled in a hospital homebound program because returning to school next year to graduate with his class of 2017 is very important to Antonio. Alongside getting caught up with academics, Antonio is committed to return to the baseball mound as Pembroke Pines Charter Baseball’s left-handed pitcher. Due to his set-back, or as Antonio likes to say, “bump on the road,” he will need extra tutoring and physical therapy to get back on track. All donations will go towards Antonio’s education as well as his physical therapy.
