Hello! I'm Franklin!

& my story isn't the best but I think I've met the family who's going to make sure it ends like a fairy tale.
I'm only about 1 year old, & I've never had a family, or a place to call home. I've been outside for as long as I can remember.. So long, they've started calling me a stray! I don't like that much, because all I want to do is love & be loved, but no one ever gave me a chance..
That was until now.
Ya see, I got hurt, reeaaaal bad. I can't use my arm & I'm in a lot of pain - but you woudn't know it! I showed up for dinner one night, as this really nice lady always made sure I was fed. & before I knew it she brought me inside, I slept in a warm cozy bed for the first time, and was pet until I couldn't be pet anymore (... sometimes I like my space)!
She took me to see the doctor, or DOCTORS, I should say.. & the diagnosis - not good.
I broke the humerus in my front, left arm, & it's not very pretty to look at.

It hurts to walk, so I can't use my arm or paw at all, & it makes it hard to play with my new sister! I remember how it happened, but I can't tell anyone (shhh.. it's a secret), so my new mom is always following me around to make sure I'm being careful (doesn't she know I've got 8 more lives..?). It hurts, & I just wanna feel better so I can have some fun with my new family!
The doctor said the surgery would cost around $3,200! I have to seen by a Specialist at Southern Oregon Veterinary Specialty Center because I hurt it so bad, but I'm hopeful they can get me back to my old self. If I can't keep my arm, they've got to take it off before it does anymore damage, & then I've got a long road to recovery and a big adjustment I'll have to be ready for..
I love my family, but I don't know if I'll wanna be kept solely inside FOREVER! Dr. Winters said I might not adjust well to being inside only (hey.. I like my freedom), that's why it's SO important that I keep my arm..
I need the surgery because the doctor said my bones won't heal on their own.. He can't cast it because there has been too much damage to the bones and internal structuring. I need it sooner rather than later so I won't be in uneccesary amounts of pain & to ensure that the bones don't do any more damage & render my arm unusable..
My mom will love me either way, she just wants me to be happy & healthy!
I haven't had any vaccinations or parasite treatments, I need to be neutered & haven't had a thorough check up, so I'm hoping to raise enough to make sure I can be checked for a completely clean bill of health as well (don't want my sister to catch a cold..).
My new family is great, but my mom, she's just a college student, lives on her own & she can't afford such a big surgery, but refuses to let me go on my own (*sniff* *sniff* ..she loves me..), & so that's why we're asking for help!
