Fozzy Bear ~ Service Dog ‍

Donation protected

 Hi y’all!

Through extensive hard work, time and dedication, we have raised the money for Fozzy’s service dog.
In early 2021,  we will have to travel to Ohio, for Fozzy to meet his new furry friend.
We are required to stay there for two weeks, and have intensive training with our new dog every day. We cannot wait for this amazing experience, yet it is going to cost us quite a bit of expenses. This is where you can continue to help Fozzy on his mission...

Sending our warmest, loving regards! ♿️

~ This is our original story from over a year ago, where our journey all began…

Hi, I’m Ashli, mom to this sweet little boy, FozzyBear.

Fozzy will turn 2 years old in August, and is having much trouble with crawling, and is yet to walk. We found out why...

Recently, after countless invasive medical tests that he had to undergo, (and boy, is this little man a trooper), we found out that he has a tethered spinal cord. This is in addition to his spinal cord also not being developed in his thoracic region. This is something that cannot be fixed. His spinal cord is shaped like an hourglass, and as of yet, medical science doesn’t have a cure or remedy for this.

He will have to undergo spinal surgery next month to, hopefully, repair the tethering damage. Since his spine is injured in conjunction with the tether, his legs are not working properly, or barely at all. The nerves that go from the spine to his legs are not developed the way that would allow him to use those muscles, as in they don’t communicate in the body.

We live in Myrtle Beach and are having to travel to almost 3 hours each way to MUSC on a weekly basis for his care. This is very time consuming and costly.

Fozzy has already been having 3x a week occupational & physical therapy, and early intervention work, with even the slightest improvements, which I am so grateful for. If it wasn’t for the young women who come to our home to help with that, I can’t imagine how we would’ve had even these minimal improvements.

I pray everyday that with time & additional continued therapy that his condition can & will improve, & one day he will be able to walk.

My little girl Layla, who is 4 years old, is such a help to her baby brother! She has been so patient, amidst countless trips to different doctors & appointments. And she is such a big help at home. I couldn’t ask for more.

Out of the kindness & generosity of others, I hope that we can lessen the financial burden upon which we face, for medical care, therapy, driving, specialized furniture to make his life easier & Fozzy’s overall health & happiness.

God is great & can perform miracles, at His time, in His way & His will. I am patient and trust in Him completely.

Thank you for reading.

With Love & Gratitude,
Ashli
