Johnson Family In Need Of Support

Donation protected
My name is Joi and I am a disabled, single mother with a teenage disabled daughter. Due to the disabilities that my daughter and I endure I am unable to work. It took more nerve than you would ever know for me to get the courage to ask for help on a public platform. This is my LAST resort. Without your help, unfortunately, we WILL be homeless again!
I started this gofundme to raise money to help with the down payment and closing costs for an affordable home. I found out in May 2018 that we had been priced out of our apartment. I can no longer afford to pay the rent due to the rent increase of $30/year ($30/year to people on disability with no cost of living increase is like $1000) in addition to me losing half of my income when my daughter turns 18. She will be 16 in March. I don't want her to worry about how we're going to make it instead of on her coursework. I have a hard time paying my rent and bills now, I will not be able to afford a $30 increase next summer without having to let a utility be turned off. My child has not had the chance to enjoy her childhood. I feel guilty every day for that.  We have had to move 14 times for health and financial reasons. I want to be able to provide a place to call home. Trying to purchase an affordable home seemed like the ONLY solution to our problem. I desperately need and want my daughter to graduate on time but having to move every few years is making that impossible. Every move sets my daughter back.
We need to be moved into our new home by June 15th, 2019. The lender I spoke to informed me that there was only so much they could do for me and I need to come up with $2575 by January 2019. I currently have NO savings. This is where we need your help. My objective is to NEVER be homeless with my daughter EVER again. I can't put my daughter through that.
Unfortunately, time is not on our side. $2575 is a lot of money in a short amount of time. We are asking a lot but even the smallest amount would mean the world to us! I cannot put into words what this would mean for and to my family. I need to focus on our health and having a forever home would give us the opportunity to begin to heal mentally, physically and emotionally.
I understand it's hard times for everyone right now. If you are unable to donate. PLEASE keep us in your prayers. Thank you SO much! Joi and Jasmine
