Forest for Maverick The Wolf

Speaking of Wildlife (SOW) needs your help to give Maverick, a non-releasable Wolf, a permanent home at our Wildife Education Centre!
Maverick (Grey/ Timber Wolf) was born in captivity in May 2017. His pack experienced a disturbance related to hierarchy and at just one week old, the pups lives were at risk. As such, Maverick and 2 of 6 other siblings were removed from the pack and placed with reputable facilities, including Speaking of Wildlife. With fewer pups, the Alpha Female was better able to care for her remaining pups while also maintaining her position in the pack. Maverick came to live at the centre on May 14th, 2017 and was hand-raised by SOW's directors.
As the ground thaws and #MavericktheWolf nears a year old, it's time to start construction of his new, permanent home - an acre of enclosed forest!
This project involves having steal posts pounded every 8-10 feet (hired service), 8-10 foot chainlink fencing to enclose an area of approximately 1 acre, chainlink underwire around the perimeter (to prevent digging from inside or out), an overhang and multiple gates. The enclosure must also feature a 15ftx15ft "lock-away" area for training, medical procedures and safety.
All donations will go towards the cost of Fencing Materials and Services, Shelter/Den Materials, Enclosure Features and Enrichment Items. Any additional funds will go directly towards the ongoing care of Maverick and the rest of SOW's animal residents, many of which have been orphaned, abandoned, injured or illegally kept as pets and were unable to live in the wild as they should.
