Fight Lyme with Mary

We are a small group who has been inspired by the strength and courage of a close friend who has been plagued with the debilitating affects of Lyme disease.  Mary Budenholzer is a 28 year old St. Louis native living in Kansas City, MO. Who's world has been turned upside down by the onset of this chronic lyme disease.  
It is our hope that we can help greatly improve her quality of life by raising funds to reduce financial stress caused by her inability to work coupled with expensive treatments not covered by insurance. 
The goal first and foremost is to attempt to help raise funds for Mary to attend a two week clinic at the Hansa Institute costing around $15,000.

Lyme disease is an infection that results in multi-systematic illness. Lyme disease is the fastest growing vector borne disease, affecting over 300,000 people each year. There are thousands of people suffering from this disease without even knowing it due to inaccurate diagnosis and insufficient awareness. If not caught early enough the disease becomes chronic and at this stage it takes intense individualized care for many months to put the disease into remission . At the chronic stage Lyme can become debilitating, cause many neurological and physical symptoms and may lead to other illnesses
