LV Families Belong Together Costs

Exciting news folks!  Our local rally to demand that families stay together has really taken off and we have a lot more people and organizations coming out to make our position clear! 

FAMILIES BELONG TOGETHER!  

Thanks to help from the City of Las Vegas and Metro we will close down one block of Clark Ave. on the south side of the courthouse to make room but this has resulted in unanticipated costs.

We need your support.  The insurance, the permits, and the security requirements will cost ~$1200.  We have someone who is graciously willing to put these charges on a credit card to secure the event and receive reimbursement later.  So the event IS HAPPENING.  

But we really need financial support.  Can you possibly donate $5?  Or $10?  Or a little more if you are able?  

More than 20 locals clubs and groups came together to organize this event with a lot of donations such as water, sunscreen, sound equipment, generators, megaphones, vests for the marshals, and countless other details.  But most of the organizations are non-profits with very little they can contribute financially.  

The national organzations are putting all their resources to the DC event, and they aren't able to fund our local effort.  We are on our own.  

If you can contribute to our efforts to secure the safety of this event, it would mean the world to us.  We are expecting good press coverage  and are excited to have congresswoman Dina Titus attending and speaking.  Additionally we will have entertainers and speakers that will share their stories about immigration.  This is going to be a POWERFUL statement as to what Las Vegas embraces.  

If every attendee contributed a single $1, our goal would be met.  But we know that not everyone can contribute.  So if you are able, please help us send this strong and powerful message to our elected officials.  Please donate $1, $5, $10, or whatever you can.
