Help Ashland Grow with EverGrow!

Ashland'ers are working hard to pay their bills and take care of their families, yet it's difficult to juggle those work and family obligations. The uncertainty of who will care for your child or the availability of daycare leaves too many moms and dads having to choose between their jobs and their families.  Summer and afterschool care is also a concern and Ashland needs a solution.

EverGrow Learning Center is currently fundraising for a capital campaign that will match grant funds and make EverGrow a reality.  A groundswell of support from the community is needed for a Fall 2018 opening of a large-scale, non-profit childcare center that will provide childcare services to 100 children. EverGrow Learning Center will have an emphasis on providing more spots for infants and making these services affordable to all families. Planned services include a large number of enrollment spots for infants, extended care hours, and scheduled “drop-in” care.

Parents know how hard it is to find a nurturing loving environment for your child in Ashland at this time.  Long wait lists, a lack of infant spots, and simply just not enough providers are problematic for those looking to return to the workforce.  To help with this problem and to give Ashland the chance to grow, community partners have created the EverGrow Learning Center. (Below is a schematic drawing of the center.)  If you wish to give, but prefer to do so in a different manner please visit http://www.nwwib.com/evergrow-learning-center

Development of the EverGrow Learning Center has been a collaborative effort of many community partners and stakeholders with the Ashland Area Development Corporation serving as the grant applicant and the Northwest Wisconsin Workforce Investment Board completing the grant outcomes. The planned services meet needs identified in local area forums, surveys, and studies. A Feasibility Study and Business Plan are complete, proving that this business model is sustainable within a 3-year period with the infusion some start-up costs through grant and fundraising efforts. This GoFundMe has been created to raise match funds for a grant application that would allow community partners to open the center doors in late Summer/early Fall 2018. Start-up fund will be used to purchase childcare supplies and equipment (such as toys, outdoor playground, art materials, etc.), office supplies and equipment, and provide the required training to staff (including CPR certification and other licensing requirements). Names of donors over $250+ will be listed on our Friends of EverGrow Learning Center wall, displayed at the entrance of the center.
