Dear Friends and Loved Ones of our Dear Erica,

I am writing to share the heartrending news that our dear Erica was diagnosed 7 weeks ago with Triple Positive Invasive Ductal Carcinoma Breast Cancer. This is a fast paced aggressive cancer that requires hard-hitting and really tough treatment. Right now Erica is undergoing an extended period of chemotherapy in order to shrink the tumors, stop any spread, and eventually have a mastectomy. No sugar coating, this is going to be a long haul.

As many of us likely know this kind of treatment is debilitating at best and means that Erica is not able to work for the next year. Chef Erica has nourished so many of us with delectable, loving meals for so long. Now we have the opportunity to nourish and love Erica back by helping to take care of her basic living expenses for the next year so that she can focus on getting back to vibrant health. 

When those we love are hit hard often times we feel powerless. I invite you to contribute what you are able here and  feel powerful about making a huge difference in Erica's (and Maisy's) life. The last thing she needs is to have to worry about how to pay the rent. 

The sooner we can take this load off of her, the better. Erica is not one to ask for help, so I am taking it on myself to do it for her because she needs us now. No amount is too small, nor is any amount too large. I am confident that Erica's extended loving village will join together and create this cushion of care. And there is no doubt that Erica's gratitude will be as big as her heart.
