Room for Emma

Emma is smart, strong and beautiful with a heart of gold, she is as sweet as could be. She loves school, her family and her friends. Emma has played soccer since she was 5 years old and she started playing the violin this past school year. She has a big brother Timmy and a twin brother Kyle, both who adore her completely. Myself her mommy Katie and her daddy Matt are so blessed to call her our baby girl. On May 10, 2016 I took Emma to the doctor because she was not feeling well. When the doctor could not hear air moving in her left lung he sent us to the hospital to get a chest xray. This began a new season of life for our family, for our sweet girl. The xray led to a CT scan which showed fluid around her lung and heart. The doctors had to immediately get the fluid drained where they further discovered tumors. We were told she has CANCER. In a state of shock we waited for more results from many tests, followed by meeting with the oncologist team. She has been diagnosed with Lymphoblastic Lymphoma Tcell. Though this is treatable, Emma will undergo extensive and intense cancer treatments for 2 to 3 years. Continued by being followed by the oncologist team until she is 26 years old. Our family has sure been through many trials before in which we have all became stronger. We were setting out on the path to purchase a home before this difficult diagnosis. We are currently living in a charming yet small 2 bedroom condo. Mom, dad, Emma, her twin Kyle, her big brother Timmy and our lovely friend Joan who has become our family and has helped us tremendously in many ways. Emma needs her own space, her own room. Your contributions would greatly help with everything from medical bills to making sure the whole family has what we need. Emma has shown incredible strength through this so far.
