Anne's unexpected move to Oregon

Donation protected
When my friend Anne recently posted on one of our community BlizzCon pages about how she and her family had to vacate the rented house where she was living for several years, I knew I had to help in any way I could, especially because of the extenuating circumstances.

Their landlord decided to list their house on the market, and not give them a proper 60 days’ notice, for starters. (A lawyer advised her that it was not worth the expense and time to fight it when he was still a good reference for the next home she would rent.) This was devastating news for Anne and her family, as they were told just months before this that their living situation was secure and that they were exemplary and responsible tenants.

Anne has been off of work for most of the last year due to injuries at work and has not been able to save any money in case of an emergency like this while living on temporary disability. She has absolutely no savings, or a way to have prepared for this situation they now find themselves in. She also cares for her senior mother part-time who is also partially disabled, and on very low income.

So, I was looking for houses and apartments in the area for them to rent, until the news came that she was going to be able to move to Oregon. She will be renting 2 rooms for her family from a friend there, but still, has no way to move her belongings at this point. Anne has had to put everything she owns in storage, to hurry and vacate the house. They are currently in temporary housing until the house is available in May.

I still want to do anything I can do to help her move, and I have offered to drive a moving truck with their stuff from Orange County, California up to Bend, Oregon.

The little funds they were able to get together to help pay for the move (that they had put aside to rent a truck), has grown too thin, so I am asking our friends for assistance to please help Anne and family get to Oregon safely. Anne has been such a good friend, and it would mean a lot to me if you could help her out. Thank you very, very much for anything at all you can donate. Cheers!
