Embracing Quran
UPDATE: Tafsir of one complete Juz has already been recorded. Alhamdulillah!
Assalamu Alykum,
As we are at the doorsteps of Ramadan, our entire year flashes before our eyes reminding us of our past and encouraging us for our future. Our souls restlessly search for some way to gain forgiveness and atonement for sins we have committed throughout the year. We look every direction in search for some good we may do.
One such deed which can help us gain continuous forgiveness is Sadaqah Jāriyah, continuously rewarding charity. At the request of my family members, friends and colleagues and after making istikharah for years, I have decided to take up the mantle of doing a complete tafsir of the Quran in english in 4K video. The series, entitled "Embracing Quran", will be available for anyone and everyone to watch for free online without subscriptions.
As you must know, the costs involved in such projects can at times slow down the production time. To make things easier, we have carefully calculated the approximate cost for the tafsir of each Juz' of the Quran. Between recording, production, designing, marketing and other related costs, each juz' will cost us at least $2500. This fundraiser will cover the cost for the tafsir of 5 Juz' of the Quran.
It is my sincere appeal from my family, friends, students and colleagues to help me in making this project a reality and take part in the reward along the way. Donating for this project will not only be Sadaqah Jāriyah, continuously rewarding charity, rather it will also be endowing for beneficial knowledge to be spread, two of the three things which will benefit a person after he dies. Needless to mention that a generation connected to the Quran is sure to produce children who will make dua for their parents as well.
The Messenger [SAWS] said, "When a man dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things:
1- Sadaqah Jāriyah (ceaseless charity);
2- a knowledge which is beneficial,
3- or a virtuous descendant who prays for him (for the deceased)." [Muslim]
All these means of continuously rewarding deeds can be fulfilled through this project, inshaAllah.
"Embracing Quran" is starting at Salik Academy but will end up in the home of every single member of the Ummah of Muhammad [SAWS], inshaAllah. Donate generously in the month of generosity.
