Elwin H. Wood Severe CAD Treatment

Donation protected

In May of 2015, my husband, Elwin Wood, went in to Meijer Heart Center in Grand Rapids, MI with small chest pains.  He passed all stress tests, but a heart catheterization gave us devistating results.  He was diagnosed with extremely severe coronary artery disease. This was completely unexpected and we were in utter shock, he is only 43.

Elwin has 9 blockages in his heart, one at 100 percent, 6 at 90 percent and 2 at 50 percent. These blockages are very low in the arteries around his heart, so he is not a candidate for bypass (the blockages are lower than where the bypasses are usually grafted in), the lesions/blockages are too long to properly hold stints without blowing out the arteries, and the arteries are really too small for the stints. We were then told he only had a year to live.  We are completely devastated, as we are a young married couple of 2 1/2 years looking forward to a long life together and raising a family of our own.

Therefore, we are trying to heal Elwin through a more natural approach, as traditional modern medicine has no way to currently treat him.  We have switched to a Nutritarian diet, all organic, non-gmo food, and are working with Dr. Daniel Cobb, D.O.M. (Oriental Medicine), to try and heal/reverse this disease with Vitamin C, L-Lysine, and L-Proline therapy based upon the Pauling Therapy, in addition to many vitamins and minerals to support his body so it can heal properly.

We have also been referred to the Born Clinic in Grand Rapids, MI.  He begins treatment there this month. Here he will be receiving alternative treatments, such as Chelation Therapy to help his body rid itself of toxins to promote healing of the arteries and help with circulation through the use EDTA (ethylene diamine tetracetic acid), among many other possibilies to aid him in the recovery process.

As you can imagine, all of these life-saving therapies are extremely expensive, and of course not covered by insurance.  Prior to starting treatment at the Born clinic, his treatments and medicine costs were pushing $3,000 a month.  Once he starts at the clinic, it will raise exponentially. (Just an office visit runs about $150-$200, not including costs of the treatments.)  We have been doing the best we can to afford this on our own, but it is time for us to ask for help.  We will not be able to keep up with the costs of the treatments, but with your help, he can get the treatments he so desperately needs.

Elwin loves life and adventure. He was an avid runner, loved to surf, scuba dive, and explore new places. He is brilliantly smart, and was a true entrepreneur.  He is a life member of Hastings Masonic Lodge #52 and was an active member of Daytona #1 OES.  It is so hard to see him exhausted and in so much pain, because this is not him.  In addition to my summer concessionairing, I was a woodwind and piano teacher at a private music and dance academy, and have been graciously given a sabbatical to care for my husband.  I was also an active member of Daytona #1 OES, but Elwin and I had to put our duties aside to stay here in Michigan for treatment.

If you have a minute, do check out all of the links I have posted, so you can be completely informed regarding the treatments we are pursuing.

Please consider donating to Elwin's treatments, give him the gift of life and help him beat this disease!
