Eloise's World Scout Jamboree
Donation protected
Hello! My name is Eloise. I am a Scout from the Puddletown Scout Group near Dorchester and I have recently been selected to represent West Dorset in the Dorset Jurassic Contingent going to the 24th World Scout Jamboree 2019, in the USA. This event occurs every 4 years and involves 50,000 scouts from across the globe.
As one of the youngest in the contingent, this will be a huge personal and practical challenge for me: spending 3 weeks a long way from home, living and working alongside and with scouts from around the world.
My Big Fundraising Challenge!
It is expected that each scout raises £3,600 to go on this once in a lifetime opportunity, and this is required in a number of instalments starting in March 2018, so I am already working hard to raise funds needed.
The funds required are a lot to raise alone, but with your help I can do it. The money raised will go towards the cost of the flights, staff and equipment, plus a donation towards helping disadvantaged scouts to attend the jamboree too. This trip will not just be an amazing life changing experience but a chance for me to 'Unlock our world’ by meeting new people and experiencing new cultures!
I have a few fundraising enterprises and events planned, including selling my handmade paracord keyrings and homemade cakes that I love baking.
Any help in reaching this goal is gratefully received and every donation means the world to me! Thank you very much!
