Eloise's World Scout Jamboree

£3,105 of £3,600 goal

Raised by 45 people in 13 months
Hello! My name is Eloise. I am a Scout from the 1st Milborne St Andrew Scout Group near Dorchester and I have recently been selected to represent West Dorset in the Dorset Jurassic Contingent going to the 24th World Scout Jamboree 2019, in the USA. This event occurs every 4 years and involves 50,000 scouts from across the globe.

As one of the youngest in the contingent, this will be a huge personal and practical challenge for me: spending 3 weeks a long way from home, living and working alongside and with scouts from around the world.

My Big Fundraising Challenge!
It is expected that each scout raises £3,600 to go on this once in a lifetime opportunity, and this is required in a number of instalments starting in March 2018, so I am already working hard to raise funds needed.

The funds required are a lot to raise alone, but with your help I can do it. The money raised will go towards the cost of the flights, staff and equipment, plus a donation towards helping disadvantaged scouts to attend the jamboree too. This trip will not just be an amazing life changing experience but a chance for me to 'Unlock our world’ by meeting new people and experiencing new cultures!

I have a few fundraising enterprises and events planned, including selling my handmade paracord keyrings and homemade cakes that I love baking.

Any help in reaching this goal is gratefully received and every donation means the world to me! Thank you very much!

Eloise :)

It's June already and I've been to 2 training camps, the second being part of JOTT (Jamboree on the Trail) where we walked over 10 miles along the Jurassic coast path. It was a long day but really good fun.

I have been continuing with my Jamboree Bakery and although the orders have slowed a little, I have had a couple of big orders recently, including rolls for a wedding and a large order for a bank holiday tea party.

Last weekend (2nd June) I had a stall at the Tolpuddle Street Fayre. Although the numbers were less than previous years, I was pleased to raise almost £200 selling my cakes, tombola and paracord keyrings.

I'm hoping a couple of events booked inJuly will help me get to the half way mark - just £137 to go! So if you have just a small amount to donate to help me get there, that would be really helpful. Please also share my campaign with your friends. Every little helps!

Thanks again for all your support.

Wow! I have reached 32% of my target! Thanks to all for your support.

Jamboree Bakery Sales are going well. I am amazed by the support of people in the village and around. Profile Hair in Dorchester have been super supportive too, advertising my fundraising and selling my keyrings.

Paracord: I have now learnt how to make two-colour keyrings and thinner paracord bracelets, so they have been added to my product list.

Jamboree Bakery: I am trialling making gluten-free brownies, so watch this space! We have also just taken an order for 100 bread rolls for a wedding which is really exciting!

Fundraising stalls: I have also been to a couple of coffee mornings locally recently, where I sell my keyrings and children's books and DVDs. Thanks to Puddletown CLIP and Tolpuddle Village Hall for their support in allowing me to have a stall.

Please share my story with your contacts, and if you'd like to order a keyring or cake, please get in touch!

I have now launched my Jamboree Bakery in the village. Had my first two orders this weekend! It would be great if I can get some regular orders to help my fundraising. Eloise x
