Please help us to raise money for our good friend Elizabeth Bogart. Chemotherapy to start on September 29th. 12 weeks once a week with Taxol followed with 8 more chemotherapy's every other week with A & C. Surgery will follow the chemotherapy. Radiation therapy after recovered from surgery. She was recently diagnosed with stage 2B triple negative  breast cancer. Elizabeth is a very loving wife, mother, daughter, and friend to everyone. She selflessly gives her time to others and her church. She loves the Lord fiercely! Elizabeth will be faced with many medical and travel expenses to fight this battle. She will be having many tests, scans, and procedures that insurance will not cover. She will also be faced with many copays, many of which will be specialty copays, that are very expensive. The main concern and focus of her family needs to be to support her in fighting this battle and healing...not the burden of medical expenses. Her friends have created this fundraiser to try and help relieve some of the stress that medical expenses can cause. Please help support this loving and deserving family with this battle. Any amount will be greatly appreciated. Please join us in praying for Elizabeth, Jeff, Stephen Wright, Stella, and all of Elizabeth's family. They have a long road ahead of them in fighting this battle of high grade aggressive cancer. God is good all the time; All the time, God is good!

It's Jeff, first of all I want to say thanks for all the prayers, love and support. Elizabeth went to be with the lord our God today about 1:00 pm. She was at peace. It was a very tough day for everyone, the family, friends and staff at UAB. Elizabeth's faith NEVER waivered even at the end. She was the strongest woman i have ever met. Elizabeth was a great mother and the best wife i could have ever hoped for by God. I told her at the end I love her and give us a sign your in heaven. She said ok I love you too!. When she passed I sat there a while then went outside to call my dad now mind you she passed right near 1:00pm when my Dad answered i told him she went to be with the lord and he says hey the kids were playing in the pool and before i called him stella looked right at my dad and said did mommy go to heaven! and my dad hearing what i told him was floored she had given us a sign. God is good all the time. All the time God is good.

Another tough day for Elizabeth today. Elizabeth was stronger this morning than she was yesterday so in a hurry they took her back to the OR to change ECMO from VA to VV style which takes it from the leg and moves ECMO lines to the neck. She was not strong enough to do this day before. With this new style of ECMO is better for trying to treat her pulmonary hypertension. Please pray that the next 24 plus hours go well and that kidney's are still working ok and lungs do not get any edema as her pressure radiant (CVP) pressure is still high. The other benefit of this style of ECMO is more of the vaso dialator is going to the pulmonary arteries to try and open them up. It was a rough day for all of us today as the transition from one ECMO to the other was tough on her. She is resting and her vitals are stable right now and we would like to keep it that way. Thanks for the continued prayers, love and support. God is good all the time. All the time God is good.

Tough day at the hospital. Elizabeth is not responding as we had hoped on the vasco dialator medicines. Also had to turn ECMO life support up higher. Elizabeth's pulmonary pressures are still very high about 2 1/2 times higher that normal. We will meet again with team of doctors in the morning. Please pray for a miracle. Elizabeth and I prayed today that she would feel the hand of God for healing or see his face when he calls her home. Whatever Gods will is will be done in his time. God is good all the time. All the time God is good.

Update on Elizabeth : Monday morning they are installing a cath in the right side of the heart they did not do on Sunday as they ran a small dose of the vasco dialator to make sure she didn't react to it and to see how blood pressure held up. The cath is to monitor the pressures in the right side of the heart. The tricky part is that they are using a IV vasco dialator which hasn't been done on ECMO lung and heart bypass. you see with ECMO blood is removed from the body and oxygenated and put back in the body so when a IV dialator is used not only is part of medicine diluted going to the lungs it's being sent throughout the body. That;s where the pressure gauge comes in. they will turn ECMO down bringing her heart and lungs more online doing more work then they are doing now while cranking up the dialator medicine so it;s a balancing act to much of it throughout the body can lower blood pressure so the hope is turning ECMO down will force more of the IV dialator to lung arteries so it's complicated. Pray that is goes well and works or is a step in the right direction. God is good all the time All the time God is good.
