Echo is a fascinating, bright, energetic 11 year old. From her miracle birth ( arriving 3 months early, and weighing only 2lbs, 5oz) she has filled my life with wonderment and surprise. An "A" student, in the fifth grade, Echo's favorite subjects are Science and Math. Her love for learning is amazing, and can be readily seen at each day's end, as she explains how fractions are divided and multiplied, or as she shares her plans to design a comic strip about the digestive system. It was pretty awesome to see the sparks fly, when she studied the muscular system and realized the soreness she feels at the end of each practice means her muscles are getting stronger.
After exhausting all attempts to fuel her interest in other activities such as swimming, violin and ballet, Echo has back flipped and tumbled her case before me declaring, "I AM A GYMNAST!"
After one year of learning the fundamentals of the sport, and mastering several beam, bar, floor, and vault routines, Echo has proven she has what it takes to excel at the next level and has been invited to join one of the competition teams. This team will compete against other talented gymnast in the region, at local and area North Carolina colleges. We are both grateful and excited about the opportunity, but it is nearly impossible for me to provide this for her alone.
In an effort to allow her to move forward, I am asking for your support. Would you, your family members, company, business, or circle of friends please donate to"Echo's Gymnastics Fund"? Your giving will help offset the major expenses of monthly tuition, workshops, compitition and coaches fees, various uniforms, travel expenses, and Gymnastics Association dues.
