EMIT is currently hosting a fundraiser production of The Chroniker- An Escape Room Fundraiser
This Go Fund Me is for anyone who is unable to attend one of our fundraiser performances but would like to support EMIT's work.
In our first official year as a company we brought our immersive production of Romeo and Juliet to over 100 public school students in NYC. We also provided them with a month- long immersive theatre residency.
This summer EMIT created a sensory friendly, ADA accessible interactive production of A Midsummer Night's Dream for the New York Foundling's day habilitation program for adults with developmental disabilities. Over 45 individuals attended from Staten Island, Rockland County, and the Bronx. The production then traveled to Prospect Park in Brooklyn and to Carl Schurz Park in Manhattan. The feedback from community members was extremely positive! We look forward to returning to the parks next summer!

Without the support of our wonderful community, none of these programs would have been possible.
This year we are looking to :
1. Produce an student friendly immersive production of The Tempest.
Why an Immersive Tempest?
The Tempest is a Shakespearean comedy that at its core reveals a story of forgiveness and family. Audiences will find themselves transported onto Prospero’s wild, whimsical, enchanted island during the course of this immersive production . Our goal is for every learner to have the opportunity to experience unique, self-driven interactions in a choose-your-own-adventure format. This experience allows the audience to engage fully with the text and characters, as well some of the darker themes that drive the story, at their own pace and in their own way.
2. Remount our interactive sensory friendly production of A Midsummer Night's Dream to NYC public libraries in multiple boroughs.
3. Expand our research efforts on the impact of immersive and interactive theatre on content comprehension and engagement.
All money donated will go towards paying actors, reducing programming costs for schools, and covering the cost of space.
Absolutely anything and everything helps!
