Hello to all friends, family, and kind strangers.
Looking around the world today, there is war, political stife, hunger, poverty, and violence. We are 6 girls involved with event management, and all we want to do is help those in crisis.
On the 6th of April, we will be selling collected items at a flea market at the CPH Business Academy Søerne campus, and all the profits will be sent to a charity in need. Leftover clothing and collected canned foods will be sent to the homeless center in Denmark called 'Project outside' http://udenfor.dk/ and the 'Sundholms day and night shelter'
We are sending the profits from our fleamarket to the amazing organization called Philisia abafazi. They focus on one of the worst parts of South Africa, called Lavender Hill. They rescue and help women and children from situations including domestic trauma, hunger, and drug abuse, etc. Link: http://www.philisaabafazi.org/
What do we need help with?
We want to help them, but we need you!
This organization has been going on for 10 years or more and have overcome many obstacles. They started building this shelter out of their own pockets and even going so far as to shelter these woman in their back garden. Now they are facing eviction from their headquarters, which directly threatens their operations. They could really use some help with funding their new operations for 2018, as mentioned in a video description on their website. This area in South Africa is effected with high crime rates, severe poverty and lack of resources. We would love to help and hopefully so do you!
I would like to invite everyone to participate in raising the funds to help these people who have little to nothing to their name. Any small donation can make a BIG difference.
