Drive Out Hate's mission is to change the conversation in our communities through messages of love and inclusion.
Hello! I am a resident of the Ocoee region in Southeast Tennessee with deep care for the children and families I come into contact with. Like so many in our community, I am deeply concerned with the hateful messages we have heard as of late. I am troubled by the perception this casts on us as citizens, and the message it sends to our children. Hate demands a thoughtful response, and that is why I ask you to join me in driving out hate with love.
Already (as of June 29th), supporters have funded two billboards with messages of love and inclusion. Thousands of people in our community and across the country have shown through their actions they are ready to change the conversation. That is why I say, let's not stop here!
A billboard like this costs just $30 a day! $30 to put a loving message in front of thousands of eyes. If just one genuine change of heart occurs, isn't that worth it?
Our vision is a comprehensive media campaign which spreads positive messages and inspires thoughtful action. Billboards are just step 1! We have lit the fire. We have begun a positive movement. Help us keep this going!
After we fulfill our vision in Southeast Tennessee, we hope to take this movement to a broader audience. This move has already begun with coverage by the New York Daily News NY Daily News: Drive Out Hate.. Next steps will include more billboards and increased resources dedicated to creative outreach. We are a non-profit organization and financial statements will be made available at the end of the campaign. Transparency will be a priority.
This is not an attack on any person. We will not resort to negativity or name-calling, we will not belittle the importance of this cause by falling prey to the temptation to fight hate with hate. This is a loving response to hatred. The response to this initiative has show that this movement must go past today! We have an opportunity to change the conversation in our society.

Today we have the very tangible opportunity to drive out hate with love. Though we may be surrounded with negativity, we must come together and INSIST ON A POSITIVE MESSAGE! Let's follow the example of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. who once said, "Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that."
Join us in spreading positivity and responding to a higher calling.
