Doug is dying, fly him home

Our friend Doug Nickerson is dying of pancreatic cancer. He was diagnosed a few months ago and underwent surgery to put a stent in his pancreas and the doctors have now given him 6 months to live. Doug has made the choice to not have chemo and wants to enjoy what quality of life he has left without the ill effects of chemo. Doug has not seen his elderly parents IN OVER 30 years. They live in a Nova Scotia. His dying wish is to be able to fly home and be with his mom and dad and spend some quality time catching up before succumbing to this horrible disease.
Doug is on disability and has a limited income. He doesn't have much yet he gives so much. He volunteers his time saving lives on the Surrey Strip. He has saved 131 lives of people who have overdosed on fentanyl by giving them the life saving drug naloxone, including a 16 year old girl. And even though he has cancer and doesn't feel great most days he still musters up the energy to go down to the strip to save more lives. He is a hero.
Can we give Doug the dignity he deserves. He wants so badly to see his parents before he dies. I would like to buy him a plane ticket home and perhaps send him first class, some new clothes and shoes, have him be able to afford 3 meals a day while he can still eat, take him grocery shopping and stalk his cupboards with food and ensure and multi vitamins, I want him to be able to have a small memorial service so people can pay their respect and send his remains home. And whatever else Doug may need I will get for him. He deserves at least this. Even $5 helps. Thank you.
