In May of 2014 after undergoing a whipple surgery, Donnie was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. After 6 months of chemo and 30 days of radiation the cancer was in remission. In September of 2015, the cancer returned and spread to the spleen. After 6 more months of chemo, the cancer has now spread to the stomach.
The most recent update: Friday April 22, 2016 Donnie began a 48 hour chemo super blast treatment and will continue this treatment every two weeks for the duration.
After 42 hard working years at Zales Corporation, Donnie has officially retired. Between the doctors appointments and chemo therapy, Zoe is unable to work full time. With that being said, the medical expenses are quickly piling up. Any donation will help tremendously and be greatly appreciated. This would be the perfect way to show your love and support for The Yarbrough Family.
