Summer Abroad in South Africa

Hi. My name is Dondraius Mayhew. I am a 1st year law student at Texas Southern University's Thurgood Marshall School of Law. I am planning to study abroad at The University of Western Cape in Cape Town, South Africa through Howard University School of Law's Summer abroad program this summer from May 31 though July 8! I have provided a more detailed description of the program below. Please consider supporting me.

I will take the following courses:

1) South Africa's Constitution --This course entails an investigation and comparison of Constitutional Law in South Africa.

2) Doing Business in South Africa: International Business Transactions --The International Business Transactions class will introduce students to the wide-ranging legal issues that arise in international business transactions particularly as it pertains to business with South Africa.

3) Contemporary Developments in Comparative and International Law: Critical Approaches to Human Rights --The Contemporary Developments course explores the historical development of the concept of human rights as well as contemporary controversies over its meaning and application.

The expenses break down:

1) $5890.00. This sum includes tuition (for two or three courses), cost of books and class materials, housing, tours, and internal transportation (where applicable).

2) Air Fare $1750.00
     Meals $1250.00
     Miscellaneous Expenses $ 800.00
     TOTAL $3,800.00
