Don Ray Dudley, 67, passed away October 26, 2018 at his Pullman home.  Don was born June 30, 1951 in Albany, OR to Harold & Jennie Dudley.  He grew up and received his education in various places graduating from high school in 1969.  Following a year of college at Colorado State University, Don entered the U.S. Army serving our country.  During this time he met Nancy Heyd and they married on March 13, 1976.  They had three sons, and later divorced.  Following his honorable discharge from the army he came to Moscow, ID and used his GI bill to attend and graduate Ferrier school.   He then went on to receive his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Idaho.  Don made his home in the Moscow area where he lived and worked as a Ferrier for over 40 years.  During this time he built up client relationships throughout the country.  Throughout his life, Don also coached basketball at many levels.  As head coach of Moscow High School’s boys basketball Don lead the team to the state championship game three consecutive years from 1996-1998 and again in 2013, winning the state championship in 1997.  At the time of his death, Don was coaching college basketball at Walla Walla Community College, and he served as a consultant for the University of Idaho men’s basketball team for the previous three seasons.  He loved being in the outdoors and deeply valued the time his family lived on the White Water Ranch growing up.  Packing with horses into the back country was something that he loved.  Don was active in Cutting (horses) and was no slouch on the dance floor.  He is survived by his three sons Brandon Dudley of Kirkland, Ryan (Caryl) Dudley of Issaquah, and Jason Dudley of Pullman (WA); his four grandchildren Eden, Uriah, Annabelle & Clara; his mother Jennie; four siblings Dennis, Duke & Bud Dudley and Diane Wentland.  He was preceded in death by his father Harold Dudley.  Viewing will be held on Friday, Nov. 2nd from 3 to 5pm at Kimball Funeral Home in Pullman.  The funeral service will be held at 3:30 pm on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018 at The Crossing Church in Moscow, ID.  A reception celebrating Don’s life will follow at the church.  Kimball Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
