In December I am going on a trip to Germany to immerse myself in the culture, gain proficiency in the language, and tour graduate schools. Due to me leaving right after fall exams, I will not be able to visit family and friends in America over the holiday season. Due to this, I decided I am giving everyone an opportunity to be a special part of this magical holiday season in Germany for me.
During my trip my main goal is to develop an understanding of the German culture that tourists or students are not able to. Due to this, my trip is dependent on funds to cover costs of getting groceries, train travel, and metro tickets. Being able to take an intensive language class during January would also be amazing, but I cannot afford it without your help!
When I get back home, I hope to be able to apply this cultural experience in my research as a scientist and expand my communication skills across the globe. I am thankful to have this opportunity and any generous gift would be welcome.
