Prayers for Destiny Miracle



Please help us share our babies testimony of life along with asking for unity in prayer for her anticipated healing Miracle from God. Born on June 12th 2014 Destiny Miracle was expected not to survive birth. She came out breathing on her own moving and beating all odds. She was diagnosed with a rare birth defect called an Encephalocele. Its a case 1 in 10,000 babies face today. Encephalocele is a rare type of neural tube defect (NTD) present at birth that affects the brain. The neural tube is a narrow channel that folds and closes during the third and fourth weeks of pregnancy to form the brain and spinal cord. Encephalocele is described as a sac-like protrusion or projection of the brain and the membranes that cover it through an opening in the skull. Encephalocele happens when the neural tube does not close completely during pregnancy. The result is an opening in the midline of the upper part of the skull, the area between the forehead and nose, or the back of the skull. Today she is 3 years old and still can not under go surgery to remove the sac from the back of head causing delays in development as she is delayed in crawling, sitting up and lifting her head for an extended period of time. Through it all she continues to fight for life and happiness and we are fighting with her. She now drinks a bottle and is not connected to any more monitors. She continues to excel. She can move, Kick, punch, pinch, grab, roll over, coos and smiles. I believe there is strength in numbers so we ask for all of your prayers and for those who can to sow a seed of faith that God will move and for fill his promise of healing as we seek further medical and spirital guidance for her healing!
