We are raising funds through this gofundme and our philanthropy, Derby Days, to donate to the Huntsman Cancer Institute in Salt Lake City, UT. Sigma Chi has made a goal to donate $10M in 7 years, and we have raised nearly $500,000 already this year.
The Hunstman Cancer Institute was founded by Jon M. Hunstman, a Sigma Chi brother from the University of Pennsylvania. The Institute puts 100% of its donations directly into cancer research or treatment for their patients. With every dollar given, more research can be done and more lives can be saved.
Our chapter's Derby Days philanthropy is going to be the week of April 2, so we would love to reach our goal by then.
