Dear friends, family and neighbors,
We TRULY need your help to help my dear friend, Lisa Douglas Whelan. As some of you are already aware, Lisa just recently received the shocking diagnosis of Stage 4 Colon Cancer.
My friend, Lisa, is a mere 40 years old and mother to 10 year old Lukas, and 7 year old Zachary. Lisa, her husband Erik, and their young sons are now looking down the barrel at the unavoidable nightmarish journey of incessant doctors appointments, surgeries and unforgiving chemotherapy.
Lisa proudly works as a school psychologist in the Canton school district. Her life’s profession is compassionately helping other people’s children and their respective families navigate this world and its many challenges. Lisa ALSO donates her scarce freetime and has given back by volunteering for her local parent support group for years.
Not unsurprisingly, because of the nature of her diagnosis and unavoidably grueling treatment she will have to undergo, Lisa has had to take a leave of absence from her job. In leaving her job temporarily so as to save her life, the financial burden upon Lisa, Erik and their family has increased exponentially.
Please HELP me help my friend Lisa, so that she and her family can defeat this terrible invasion into their lives.
We ask for you to dig deep and GIVE whatever you can give to contribute to her medical bills and treatment. We also ask that you SHARE THIS AND TAG AS MANY PEOPLE AS YOU CAN so we can spread the word that someone who has been so helpful to our community, now needs our help.
