Daylesford and District Xmas Cheer
December is just around the corner! While some will start thinking of how to decorate their Xmas tree, what presents to buy, what color wrapping and when to put the presents out, some are wondering how they will actually they put food on the table and whether there will be any presents to put out. Imagine, if you will, explaining to your children that Santa won't be visiting this year. Picture their faces and the sadness that will fill the room on the day. For those doing it hard, it won't be very festive at all. Can you imagine a Xmas day with no presents, or no Xmas lunch? For some, it will be the reality they face.
Daylesford & District Xmas Cheer are trying to raise $30,000 by end November to help the people of our community who might be struggling through the "Festive" season. There are more people than ever needing financial assistance and aid than ever before. We are currently sourcing products and will be putting together hampers to be distributed to those in need for Xmas.
Daylesford Xmas Cheer are a local not-for-profit group who who help the local community in many ways. We have been busily working throughout the year and have already raised nearly $15,000. We are trying to be pro-active in our fundraising and have more events planned in the near future, but we will need help in raising our target of $30,000. It's a big ask, but we don't want to let anyone down. With your help, our whole community will be able to celebrate Xmas - with dignity and joy.
