David needs our help!

Donation protected

Hi.  As many of you know David, our brother, relocated early this year to Arizona to live with his daughter so he could have open heart surgery & recuperate down there.  It was a very difficult decision for him as he was at a point that he really couldn’t work any longer and had to have the heart issues addressed.  He lost everything here to make that move.  Because of his lingering health issues, he lost his home and his job, and made the move to Arizona.  He had his heart surgery in late June.  As does happen with lots of people coming through that type of surgery, David has found himself very depressed.  It’s been difficult, for David and us, trying to offer him support being so far away.  Unfortunately, David was hospitalized again last Friday, Sept 9th and now we are trying to get him back to N.H.  We are trying to work out logistics on how to get him back to N.H.; how to get his car back to N.H.; and housing for when he returns.  He will need a lot of support, both physically and emotionally upon his return.  We are now in crisis mode trying to figure this all out.  We are scrambling to try to get housing, be it emergency housing, or an apartment, or short term furnished until we can figure out a longer term solution.  We are running out of time.  For reasons too many to list here, it is not feasible at this time for any of us to take him in.  He has multiple health issues and is both physically and emotionally drained.  The tentative release from the hospital is set for this Friday, and upon release, he will either be put on a plane for N.H. with no solid plans yet for housing, and with his car stuck in Arizona, or will be brought to a homeless shelter in Arizona.  We obviously do not want that to happen.  We are reaching out to our local government agencies, senators, representatives, emergency housing, etc., but nothing solid yet to help him.   We know folks have been reaching out to us to inquire about David and how they can help, so we set up this account to hopefully help cover some of the costs of getting him back here and set him up in housing, at least for the short term, until we have a more solid plan in place.  If anyone could help, any little bit would help at this point, David and all of us would greatly appreciate it!  He obviously does not know at this point that we are setting up this account.  We’ll tell him some day when he’s in a better place emotionally.  If you know David – he is a very stubborn man, but he needs this help more than ever now, whether he’ll admit it or not.  Thanks so much for reading and please keep David in your thoughts and prayers.
