I've been employed as a contractor for many years and usually had some savings to get me through a few months while seeking new work. This time around, my family experienced a loss in the family along with other unexpected family emergencies all within a three month period. While this is Life and we generally work through events like this, the icing on the cake was my contract ending. I was expecting a new contract immediately but that fell through. And now I've been unemployed since Jan 10th 2017 and used the last of my emergency fund to pay the bills for January. This is the first time I've ever put my personal issues in the open but I'm desperate as the bills are due and I don't want to lose my car let alone try to find the funds to reactivate my utilities. As I do have some very strong prospects, it seems I may be unemployed for another week or two. If my car isn't paid on-time, the finance company will repossess it since my loan is a high risk. This is due to my family recovering from the 2008 Crash and I had to replace the vehicle which was paid off. Thus my credit has been slowly recovering but not well enough to avoid such a high risk loan. Without transportation I will be unable to work as any jobs available in my field are at least 30 to 90 miles away. I am desperate to get these bills paid before the 23rd deadline to keep the car and keep the utilities on. The reason I'm asking for 6000 is half will cover this month. And assuming I land a job next week at one of my interviews, the bills will be coming due again before I receive my first check. The other 3000 will help us get through the transition period of my new job and allow us to purchase much needed groceries. The break-down is 1800 for home, 500 for car, 100 for electric, 100 for water, 80 for gas, 280 for phone and internet, 100 for gas card. This leaves about 40 for groceries which we can work with. Adding these up for two months comes to around 6000 which I know is a lot to ask. But for anyone willing to help with this last minute emergency I will gladly work out some sort of repayment plan if required. I'm really embararrased asking like this but I'm usually the one offering assistance because I care and love to help. The tables are now turned and I've found this site which I pray will help. For all willing and able, thank you in advance.
