Assisting the Davenport Family

Sheree Davenport, a long time member of our fragile X community, and her family have experienced a terrible loss. Her father, already suffering from the debilitating effects of FXTAS is being treated at the hospital and her 18 year old son, Logan, has passed due to a tragic house fire.
Logan had no life insurance and the house was completely destroyed. All money raised will be provided to the family to use for funeral costs and in any other way needed to assist them as they recover from this terrible tragedy.
I just spoke with Logan's dad, Mickey. He wanted me to let you all know that they love you all and truly appreciate what everyone has done to support them.
Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers as they face the hard days to come.
Love to all,
I am overwhelmed by the outpouring of love, prayers and donations from both the FX community and other friends. The FX community is a family in the truest sense of the word, and in addition there has been so much support from our beloved Hartwell. No words can be found in my vocabulary how much this all means to me, as Logan's and Leah's grandmother nor as Sheree's mother. Mickey is much more than my son in law, he is my sun. God bless you all. Mickey Teasley
Sheree, Sammy and I are praying for you and your family. I saw your Dad last night and he looked good. Please let us know what we can do for you.
I dont have any words to use right now to express how sorry I am for the loss of your child. You are experiencing a level of pain and loss that most people can't imagine and will never experience. I dont know what to say other than I am so sorry. But please know that I am praying that God would bring you and your family comfort.
Our deepest heartfelt sympathy to all the family on your sad loss of your precious son Logan. May the Lord give you all the strength and courage you need at this sad time.
My fingers pause over the keyboard, what could I possibly say to a family that is grieving the loss of their son, their life, their whole world. Tears flow freely as I say this to you with love...God lives. We may not understand the why's or the how could's of life, of this tragedy, but we can see God's hand. All around you. Your Fragile X family. We love you. I love you.
Although we've never met in person, you are family. I am so very sorry for your unspeakable loss. I pray that you can find some comfort in the fact that there are so many people who grieve with you and will be here for you as you begin to try to adjust to Logan's absence. You are loved.
To my Dear sweet friend Sheree, Mickey and Leah you became one of my children years ago, and my heart is breaking for your loss. I and my family will always have you in our thoughts. Love, Theresa , Ed, Lill, Malek, Nohemi, Kayla, Bri and Keya
I'm truly sorry for your loss.
My heart is heavy and broken by what your family is going through. Please know that you have our prayers and love. I cannot imagine what you and your family are going through but know that you have the love and support of this community. May God grant you and your family peace and eternal rest to Logan. Love, hugs and prayers from Texas.
Hi Sheree, We may not have been formally introduced but I remember when you spoke about Logan during Advocacy Day training. I was in complete awe of your courage. At this time I am praying for extra strength for you & your family. I recently read a story that may offer a somewhat comforting perspective... in my own words I will paraphrase to say that if we are on this earth to learn to live well & to love others, unconditionally... perhaps the purest souls who leave our earth so soon have already mastered this. Perhaps they don't stay down here as long, so they have until forever to do good from up there.
We are so sorry for your loss. My heart hurts knowing what you are going through. Know you are not alone we are all here in support of you.
May God grant you peace as you reflect on Longan's blessed life.
I can not even begin to imagine what you are all going through. I'm so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers for you all during this time.
The Davenport family is in my prayers. My family is supporting you and I know that God gives his toughest battles to his strongest soldiers. He will help you get through this. He does things for a reason although we may not know the reason. My family and I are keeping your family in our prayers and supporting you.
So sorry for your loss. Our hearts are with you
I love the Davenports so much. All of you guys are in my prayers and my family is praying and supporting you.
There are no words I can say to console you and your family but there are word that can if you seek them out. Upon losing our son I ask my Granny who had lost 4 sons how do I live through this. She handed me her Bible. I hope you can find the peace and the strength you will need. God bless.
So sorry for your loss. I lost my little niece , my brother and my mother in a electrical house fire several years ago. People were so kind to us during the worst part of my life I always try to help others in situations like this. Praying for GOD to embrace this family.
I just lost my grandmother to a fire, and I never wished anyone else to experience that pain. I hope for healing, and will keep you in my thoughts.
We are so sorry to hear about your loss. We will be praying for you and your family.
