Help Dan pay for Ivy League tuition

Today, I am reaching out to both you and the community at large for assistance. Last month, I accomplished what I had always believed to be unattainable for a “dreamer” (undocumented student) from Mexico City, and I was accepted into an Ivy League university (in this case, Columbia University). However, during the course of the past month, any inclination to celebrate and look forward to the future has been tempered by the reality of my legal status and lack of financial aid opportunities.

Currently, without having any idea how I will pay for tuition and housing, I plan to move to New York on August 6th and be a student for this Fall Semester. During my time there, I’m going excel academically, apply to scholarships, reach out to non-profits & businesses, and find a job in order to pay for my $70,000+ tuition fees. However, my savings account will only handle two or three months of living in the expensive city of New York. Asking for help it's always been hard for me, but it shouldn’t be like that, especially when you’re asking friends, family and the community to help you attend one of the best universities in the world. 

Everything raised will be used to pay a portion of my tuition. If the goal is reached, it will increase and will continue to go towards tuition. I want to thank you in advance for reading this and for any support you give.
