Morrill Family

$53,200 of $30k goal

Jesse Conrad Dove   JACKSONVILLE, FL
The tragic loss of Jeff Morrill in a hit-and-run motorcycle accident on 8/19/14 has left his young family of 5 without a bread-winner.  His four children, ranging in age from 17 months to age 6, are now without a daddy.  His wife, Kari, is a devoted stay-at-home mom who home schools the children and is not employed outside the home.  They are now having their lives turned upside down by this twist of fate.  The Morrill's church family is providing emotional and spiritual support but they will also need financial support.  While Jeff's amazing gift of organ donation will save the lives of many others, his family needs our help to carry on their lives.  Anything you can give is a blessing.

Thought I would share some of the comments coming in with the donations!

Jeffrey we at Kaycan love you and miss you brother. He was more than a co-worker he was a great guy and friend, WE at Kaycan will truely miss him and do whatever we can to assistance his wife and four kids. I'm proud to have known and work with this great man for the years that he was in my life. Love you brother. – Robert

This is on behalf of the entire Maier family, not only myself but mom, dad, mallory, and especially Juliet. You always made her laugh, and you know my parents liked the heck out of you as did my sister. We will all definitely miss you, love you brother and I will be seeing you again one day. – Maxwell

Though we have never met, we are family in Christ. Praying for you all as you grapple with this tragedy. May you rest in His merciful, loving arms and know that so many are praying you through and grieving alongside you. – Sheri

I found out about you and your family through a friend. So sorry for your loss. You are in my prayers. – Emelia

We are praying for you Keri and your sweet little ones. We are blessed to have known Jeff. – A Friend

I do not know you personally, but we've been praying for you since Trey and Rachael shared your story...but we are all sisters and brothers in Christ Jesus. We will continue to lift you and your children up in prayer. – Tim & Karen

Matthew 11:28-30 "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." Blessings, Fireside Ministries (Cosby,Tn)

Jeff and I worked the first Sunday of each month in my daughters Sunday School Class. He would download videos off youtube of how to build exotic paper airplanes. Then he would build the planes for each of the 14 kids and then we would practice throwing them through a Hulu Hoop or into a cardboard box and cheer for the kids as they attempted to "fly" their planes to the goal. I must admit, those 4 yr olds just adored him. I remember complaining to Jeff once that I didn't like working with the 3 yr old kids, because they were not as well behaved. Jeff's response to me was that he told the Sunday School ladies that he would work wherever there was a need. He was such a giving and kind servant of Christ. He will be sorely missed!

This has truly been on my heart since I heard about the accident. I knew Jeff from Seacoast Christian Academy and he was one of the most delightful and caring guys I have ever met. I live in Georgia now and due to illness am unable to attend his service this morning, but I do a morning bible study and this is what my bible study was this morning and I was so moved by the power of God and his comfort from the words of Charles Spurgeon: "The voice of weeping shall be no more heard." Isaiah 65:19 The glorified weep no more, for all outward causes of grief are gone. There are no broken friendships, nor blighted prospects in heaven. Poverty, famine, peril, persecution, and slander, are unknown there. No pain distresses, no thought of death or bereavement saddens. They weep no more, for they are perfectly sanctified. No "evil heart of unbelief" prompts them to depart from the living God; they are without fault before his throne, and are fully conformed to his image. Well may they cease to mourn who have ceased to sin. They weep no more, because all fear of change is past. They know that they are eternally secure. Sin is shut out, and they are shut in. They dwell within a city which shall never be stormed; they bask in a sun which shall never set; they drink of a river which shall never dry; they pluck fruit from a tree which shall never wither. Countless cycles may revolve, but eternity shall not be exhausted, and while eternity endures, their immortality and blessedness shall co-exist with it. They are forever with the Lord. They weep no more, because every desire is fulfilled. They cannot wish for anything which they have not in possession. Eye and ear, heart and hand, judgment, imagination, hope, desire, will, all the faculties, are completely satisfied; and imperfect as our present ideas are of the things which God hath prepared for them that love him, yet we know enough, by the revelation of the Spirit, that the saints above are supremely blessed. The joy of Christ, which is an infinite fulness of delight, is in them. They bathe themselves in the bottomless, shoreless sea of infinite beatitude. That same joyful rest remains for us. It may not be far distant. Ere long the weeping willow shall be exchanged for the palm-branch of victory, and sorrow's dewdrops will be transformed into the pearls of everlasting bliss. "Wherefore comfort one another with these words." I will continue to pray for Keri and their 4 beautiful children and that Jeff's amazingly kind and funny spirit continue to live on within all of them as well as all of us whose lives he has touched and forever changed.

There are no words to express the pain and sorrow Keri and our family is going through. They are no words to express the pain and confusion in the children's face when Keri told them their Daddy would not be coming home anymore to play with them. There are no words to express how much we all appreciate all of your support in kind words and prayers via text, emails and Facebook postings and donations. The only words I can say is "THANK YOU", thank you all for supporting our family in our time of sorrow. Tonia Champion Mother In Law

I am sure the money raised here will make a giagantic difference for this family in the days/years ahead. Perhaps the bears I make from a loved one's clothing can bring some comfort to the children by having something of their daddy to hold on to and hug. If you are interested please message me how/who to contact. Please see my BearsbyMe page.
