Ike's D-Day Table Campaign

Tax deductible
General Dwight D. Eisenhower, Supreme Commander of the Allied Expeditionary Forces in Europe during World War II, led D-Day on June 6, 1944 - the largest military invasion in human history. In the midst of planning and overseeing the assault on Fortress Europe, this table, depicted in the rendering above, carried the weight of the world.

It was around this table that the greatest military minds of the 20th Century gathered together to plot Hitler’s downfall and Europe's freedom from Nazi tyranny. This event, the D-Day invasion of the beaches of Normandy, France, put Allied Forces on the offensive front and paved the way for liberation in Western Europe. It is vital that we preserve this precious piece of history.

To do this, The Eisenhower Foundation is seeking funding to help construct a display around this historical table in the Eisenhower Presidential Museum in Ike's hometown of Abilene, Kansas. However, this isn’t just about preserving an antique table. This is about preserving the legacy of the brave young men who gave their lives so we could be free. This table represents thousands of impossible choices General Eisenhower was forced to make as he planned this invasion…choices that cost Americans their lives, but liberated an entire continent.

With your help, we will recreate what was happening during these "Top Secret" meetings with other significant artifacts and souvenirs surrounding the famed table that are also in the Museum's possession. Each gift is greatly appreciated. Donations over $30 will receive a Friends of the Eisenhower Foundation membership, providing complimentary admission to the Eisenhower Presidential Museum, as well as other benefits listed on our website .

Ike's D-Day table belongs to every young man who spilled his blood to defeat Hitler's murderous regime, and every American who enjoys the freedoms our Allied solders won. We thank you for standing with us during this historic renovation project, and for honoring our great nation's heroes.
