Crow Family Tornado Relief Efforts

$14,540 of $17,400 goal

Raised by 178 people in 51 months
Our friends Jon and Betsy Crow, along with her parents, were hit by a devastating tornado that hit Washington, Illinois on Sunday morning, November 17th. They've lost their entire house and all possessions (main picture shows the former location of their house, and below is their car that ended up where the kitchen used to be). THANKFULLY they were not harmed.

Due to the outpouring of friends and family wanting to provide support, we've put together this site to channel financial resources to them in the short-term. All funds donated will go directly to the Crow family, to help them get set up in a temporary residence and begin to rebuild and take care of their immediate needs.

Please hold Jon, Betsy, Lyla and their extended family in your thoughts and prayers - as they work through this difficult time.

A day to be thankful for!

On this day of thanks, this year more than ever, we realize how much we have to be thankful for. Today - I am thankful that I got to be the one to deliver our collective support to the Crow family! (I've always wanted to give someone a jumbo check too!) Today we delivered $10,000 for the Crows to put to immediate good use - thanks to each and every one of you. From contributions large and small, it all added up to collectively make a HUGE difference in this family's ability to recover from their loss as quickly as possible.

While they are still only at the beginning of a long and difficult process, they know they have great support behind them to provide encouragement along the way.

So on this day - we're thankful for each and every one of YOU, who opened your heart and your pocketbooks to help out this great family! HAPPY THANKSGIVING! -Stephanie

Great work everyone! We met our second major goal of $12,000 today, I'm BLOWN AWAY!! We're now on our way for a "Hat-trick" - aiming for $17,400, hopefully by Thanksgiving!

Recovery update:
Rain has hampered any searching today (and most of yesterday). During their one full day of sorting Tuesday, in addition to finding their "Lucy dog" alive (Yeah!), they were also very fortunate to find their personal computer and external hard drive - both in working order - and their fire safe with many important documents in it. Those were their primary items of concern, so God answered some prayers. To everyone's astonishment, they also found Jon's Civic (image far below) actually started right up with the twist of his key! Lastly, two family photos were located OVER 100 MILES AWAY - and are now on their way back home to the Crows, thanks to a facebook page reuniting found items with their owners! :)

Keep the support and prayers coming!

Thanks SO much for everyone's support for the Crow family! Thanks to your generosity, in only 5 hours after launching this site we were able to provide the Crows with an immediate care package to get them going! Your contributions allowed us to deliver several healthy & delicious meals to fuel their strength and spirits over the next several days, a super-star bundle for Lyla including favorite toys and DVDs, some snuggle items, necessities and more, as well an iPad to help them connect, organize, document, and track all of the details ahead of them. We also channeled some monetary support to them for immediate use as the needs arise "“ needless to say they were overwhelmed with gratitude.

Thank you all so much for your amazing support for the Crows "“ keep the love coming!
