Support Sexual Violence Survivors

The Sexual Assault Support Center, formerly known as Columbus Rape Crisis, was established in 1981 by a group of community members committed to providing services to sexual assault victims and their family members. The center services Chattahoochee Judicial Circuit, which is comprised of Chattahoochee, Harris, Marion, Muscogee, Talbot, and Taylor counties. However, anyone in need of services will not be turned away.

We provide the following services free of charge to victims and their loved ones:

24 hour confidential local hotline 
Medical and legal accompaniment
Emergency Financial Assistance
Court support
Victim Compensation assistance
Counseling referrals
Support Group
Prevention education
Community awareness and training
College campus presentations

With serving such a large area, funding must be stretched to bring services to our territories.  There are moments where our funding does not cover our expenses completely.  In these specific cases, we must fundraise so we can continue to serve survivors and their loved ones!  

The SASC does not discriminate based on sex, gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, age, etc.  We are here to assist any survivor and their loved ones through this delicate process with empathy, kindness, and the utmost care.  If at any time you have a question for us, feel free to ask!
