Help for Col. Potter Cairn Bongo

Bongo was pulled from a high kill shelter in Los Angeles, where he was described as a "hot mess" and a hot mess he is, he had skin infection, eye infection, upper respiratory infection, ear infection and infected teeth.


Even though those have been resolved Bongo is far from being cured. At the vet in Denver he was diagnosed with IVDD​ (intervertebral disk disease)​, a very painful prognosis. In turn with his eye issues he will never be able to see 100 percen​t and imagine the journey of Bongo. His vision is so poor that he can only see dark and lights. He has chronic ear infections that affect his hearing. His skin is laced with fleas, infection and yeast,that itch so bad he is biting his skin. He has infected teeth, that make chewing painful. To top it all off he has a bad back that causes walking to be painful. All of this and living on the streets of Los Angeles. Rather unimaginable. When he was rushed into the loving arms of Col. Potter, to date he has the most expensive intake cost that Col Potter has ever had to pay for. So, Col. Potter needs your help in paying for his past medical treatments and his continued medical care.

Now safe with food in his bowl, the kind warm hearts of Col Potter volunteers wrapped around him, this 12 year old boy, who was thought to be 5 or 6 at intake, has lived though the most extraordinary time, and though it all has kept his Cairn spirit and is learning that it's pretty ok here at his Foster home.
