Dear friends and family,
Cindy was diagnosed with breast cancer "“ invasive ductal carcinoma, on August 2, 2013. Since she is currently out of work and is unable to look for work right now. This means that finances are inadequate for her to fight this illness. In addition, they do not have insurance, meaning that all of the medical costs will have to come from out of pocket.
Cindy under went a double mastectomy on August 4,2013. Although there was no node involvement, cancer is in her blood and it is an invasive type that metastaticizes.
Cindy and Criss are very active members in their church. Being leaders in the Celebrate Recovery Program at their church they are constantly giving to others. They are also involved in other ministries within their church and their community as well.
They are always willing to help others and now they need your help. Please help Cindy and Criss through this rough spot in whatever way you can, every single dollar helps eliminate some of the worry and stress that they are now facing.
Stress can cause cancer : it can also hinder the healing process. Please help us help them so that she and Criss can continue helping and serving others for many years to come.
This is why I started this fundraiser : so that we can all pitch in and help alleviate the financial difficulties that they now face. I want them to be able to have the treatment she needs and to not have to worry about whether they can afford it or not.
In addition to finances, we ask that you send prayers of healing, comfort and peace to her and Criss "“ and to everyone in their family.
Please donate whatever you can. If you are unable to donate, please spread the word so that others can help her get the care she needs.
Thank you.
"The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace."'

Here is my sister-in-law's latest facebook post:

"Looks like my medical battles will increase ... I have slowly been losing the ability to walk, stand, sit, sleep .... (nothing important, mind you) because of pain in my knees. Now that I have insurance, I was able to get to see an orthopedic surgeon yesterday to find out what can be done.

At the age of 55, it appears I have worn out my knees ... in fact, the doctor says he doesn't see how I can be walking at all ... I'm not sure that you would call what I do walking - more like a very slow waddle ... He diagnosed it as late stage arthritis. He gave me a cortisone injection which seemed to provide some relief, but that relief lasted less than 24hrs.

Because I have had an infection in one of my knees, I have to go see an infection specialist and get their approval before the surgery can be done. Apparently an infection can lay dormant and flare up after a replacement which would mean that the prosthesis would need to come out, a spacer put in for 6 weeks, and then another prosthesis could be put in after the infection had cleared. If that all failed, I can lose my leg.

I also have to have an MRI to make sure the cancer has not moved into the bone before the surgery can be done.

And I have to come up with the $6000 deductible that the insurance (wonderful Obamacare) requires me to have. As you all know, my cancer treatments have eaten up any excess funds.

Once I meet all that criteria ... after talking to my cancer doctor this morning, I now also know the following .....

Because I am treating my cancer naturally, the knee surgery would be a major setback in that treatment. All the chemicals introduced into the body will have to once again be eliminated from the body. The effects of the radiation from the xrays and the MRI will have to be overcome and eliminated.

And I will not be able to go to my treatments for at least 4 weeks after surgery because I will be unable to drive ... another setback.

But since I have already missed 1 1/2 weeks of treatments in the last few weeks because I was unable to drive because of the pain ... sometimes I just cannot sit to drive in the car because the pain is excruciating ... if I don't get something done, I may not be able to continue treatment anyway.

As you can see, I am between a proverbial rock and a hard place.

I ask for your prayers in this regard for provision ... or even better ... a miracle of total healing for the knees and the cancer. Until then, I plan to keep a smile on my face and enjoy all my wonderful friends ... Thanks."

As you can see, she continues to have a great attitude in the battle she is facing. But it is a battle, and finances continue to burden her in her struggle. Any help you can provide - prayers or finances are all welcome and appreciated - will help her in her battle to defeat not only the cancer but these additional difficulties she is facing.

Thanks so much,
Blessings to you!

We want to thank everyone for their support! Everyone has been amazing!

Cindy went to the doctor for her follow-up today ... and received an awesome report. After 5 1/2 months of treatment, the cancer cells in her body have been reduced by 50%!!!!

This is wonderful news. This is without the use of chemo or radiation. Using natural methods only, including prayer and the mercy of the God we serve, she is well on her way to victory and wholeness.

We ask that you pray about it, and if God lays it on your heart, support her in her battle. She has experienced great success in her battle so far despite all that the enemy has laid upon her. With your financial support and prayers, she will be able to move into the realm of total victory.

The projected cost of this victory remains at $50K ... therefore, we as that you prayerfully consider what you can do to help her in this battle.

Thanks so much, and blessings to you.

Hello everyone! If you have been following Cindy's journey on her blog at you will see that her latest post says that the lump she found a week before Christmas has gone away. Praise God!

Despite this victory, she continues to fight the original cancer diagnosis from August 2013. And the bills continue to pile up.

She still has a long journey ahead of her. We love her and want to have her around for many more years to come, and your donations help make that possible.

She continues to go to her treatments and she is making progress. She continues to fight the cancer naturally.

Thank you for every donation ... every single dollar makes a difference.

Hello Everyone!
It has been a while since we have posted. Cindy has continued treatments for her cancer - 5 days a week. Despite this, she has recently discovered another lump on her left breast (what was her left breast), this time on the bottom outside. The previous lump had been the top inside.

She continues to study and pray about the options available to her. We ask that you do the same.

If you have financial resources available to help her in this battle, they are so appreciated.

Thank you for your prayers and continued support.

Blessings to you in the holiday season and beyond.
