Our Hero "Cici" Eye Gazer Fund

Cienna is our beautiful Princess who is 4 years old, she was diagnosed with Spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy at 8 months due to lack of oxygen to the brain. That day we were told that she will never walk or talk, our whole world came crashing down around us. Nicole (Cienna's mother) was only 17 herself, this news was devastating for her to hear and really took it's toll.     Nicole became depressed and could not understand how/why this had happened to her precious little girl, she done everything right throughout her pregnancy, had no infections and was a perfectly healthy soon to be mum. Nicole's labour experience was very long and intense......to be precise it was a total of 6 days of heartache seeing my little girl go through all that pain with nothing I could do to help! The birth didn't go as expected and I remember the midwife pressing the red button above nicole's bed, Doctors and nurses came running into the room, it was all very quick and is still blurry now as it was back then on the day. Cienna's arm had to be dislocated for quicker delivery as she was in distress, they then laid her on this little bed with heat lamps above her in the corner of the room. All I remember thinking at that time was "she haven't cried" after approximately 4/5 minutes Cienna screamed and was given to Nicole for her first cwtch and bond. Nicole was so happy and proud to be a mum of a whopping 8lb 6 healthy beautiful baby girl, I was also so proud of Nicole and so happy to be a grandmother for the first time (my little princess had her own little princess) it was an amazing feeling of joy and excitement for us all.
            Following Cienna's diagnosis was plenty of heartache along with appointments and involvement from various services/agencies, it was all to much and over bearing for Nicole to take on board and put a lot of strain on the whole family. However we have pulled through it together and can finally see light at the end of the tunnel. At present Cienna is a happy, clever and determined little girl who craves a life like any normal child. She has always got the biggest brightest smile to greet anyone she meets and leaves a glow in there heart, despite suffering with severe pain and having to take medication on a daily basis.
I want to let the world know how extremely proud I am of my amazing daughter Nicole for being strong and not giving up, even when times got really tough, she kept fighting for her and Cici.
             After lot's of research and discussions we have come to the decision that an eye gazer would benefit Cienna greatly, and help her communicate with friends and family. We really would like to give this a go to improve our angels way of life and communication skills. This would mean the world to us as a family. Please help us raise money to give Cienna a chance to speak to her loved ones through this amazing device.
