Chesty's Road to Recovery

This is my nephew, Chesty. Always bursting with energy and ready to play. He loves spending time with his dad, Erven, and can always be seen on his posts and videos he shares. Unfortunately, he went missing this past weekend for a few hours, when he ran after a passing vehicle and didn't return. We searched and searched, but we could not find him. We were alerted of a post on Facebook of a found, injured dog at the pet hospital in DeLand. We were hoping it was not him, but sadly, it was.

     We were absolutely heartbroken to find Chesty in such bad shape. He seems to have been hit by a vehicle and possibly dragged as well. His injuries are severe and he has a lot of healing to do. Chesty is currently on antibiotics, pain medicine, and needs a special cream for all open wounds all over his body. He will need to have surgery on his right eye, to restore his eyelid and save his vision. He is back at home, resting, but still crys throughout the day.

     It is heartbreaking to see Chesty in such pain and discomfort. Prayers and any help with his upcoming medical bills would be most appreciated. He will be turning 1 the end of February and hope he is in better spirits by then. Thank you!
