My mother, Cheryl, is requesting help with expenses related to the cremation and end-of-life ceremony expenses for her husband, John Miller.
Newlyweds John and Cheryl were married for just nine short days when the unthinkable happened. John was taking his 2007 Yamaha R6 for a ride down the mountain in Bass Lake, California on Sunday, July 3rd at 3:45pm when he collided with a stopped vehicle. Although John was protected with full-body gear, his helmet flew off when he impacted the car. While much of John's body survived the accident without a scatch, his head suffered major trauma. John was airlifted from a landing zone in Oakhurst, CA to the Trauma and Intensive Care Unit at Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno. Surgery was performed to relieve the swelling in his brain, but John was given little chance of survival. Family and friends from across California and beyond quickly pulled together, holding onto the hope that God would provide a miracle!
On the evening of Wednesday, July 6th, 2016, John succumbed to his injuries.
John brought an abundance of light into the lives of everyone he came across! He was actively involved in his community, his church (Sierra Pines) and the lives of his new family. We mourn his passing but will forever rejoice in his memory.
