Casey Needs Your Help

Casey is my oldest son. He turned 15 January 28th! He is a larger breed, GSD X and has always lived an acive life, and has been exceptionally healthy and active until recently when he suffered from some unexplained seziures which have landed him in the ICU since Valentines day evening. Very lethargic and no appetite... we were all left very concerened and speachless as after hundreds of tests, we received only a few answers... until the early hours of the morning on 2/19.
I revived a call at 1:26 am informing me that hes having trouble breathing so they have moved him to an oxygen cage and after examining his chest x-rays, he has a moderate case of pneumonia and his pancreas is quite iflamed, which explains the coughing and lack of appetite since the seziures began. These are two very challenging medical conditions to fight, especially as an old man, but Casey is pulling through and we have hope. He has been responding well to treatment and was extremely excited to see my mother and I when we came in to visit. The vets would like to monitor him through to at least Monday where we will then reasess if he should stay or if hes on the road to recovery and we can take him home.
From one dog lover to another, my dogs are not pets, they are my children. Casey and I need your help to continue his treatment. He may be concidered old but he has a long life left ahead of him and I'll be damed if its living in a hospital. I am doing whatever it takes to get him top of the line medical care by all the Sonoma County specialists available.
Please, anything will help. His vet bills to date since tuesday are in the $3000 range and increasing.
