A dream is a wish the heart makes. - Walt Disney

Each of us has a dream. With enough courage and determination, we can make our dreams come true. This campaign spans 2017-2020. Don't hesitate to email me with any questions at

Born into the world as Casey Eichfeld, I am now a 3x Olympian in Canoe Slalom from the Beijing, London, and Rio Olympics. My dream and journey now carry me toward a 4th Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.

I see two parts to an athlete. An athlete is someone who is willing to make the effort for greatness no matter who is watching. Greatness requires great effort. An athlete also needs a village. No one can make the journey alone. Life has given me a village unrivaled by even dreams. Besides, the journey is better with people to share it with!

It is an honor to represent you United States of America, and it is a privelege to represent our village. I truly appreciate your consideration and support as I move forward in this great adventure!

Here is a video from the 2015 World Championships in London. Video is often the best way to share my beloved sport :)

There aren't words to thank you enough as we wrap up the 2018 season. There has been a slew of exciting racing and training through 5 World Cups and World Championships! Generally, I am happy with my paddling to 4 Top 16 finishes, including one Finals.

The season has ended, and the mind's eye turns to the excitement of 2019. Next year brings the first tangible step toward the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. The 2019 World Championships in Seu, Spain will give athletes the first opportunity to secure Olympic positions for their nations. Then nations will have a selection process to decide what athletes will get to fill the positions that were qualified. I don’t understand how time slips away so fast. The Rio Olympics are barely a memory, but here we go diving into the Tokyo Olympics.

In the meantime, this coming offseason will be time for me to focus on two missions. The first is to maintain and build myself further as an athlete. The winter always means a lot of flat water training that is crucial for good stamina. I also want to focus more on the mental aspect of paddling. Many athletes have proven themselves to be physically capable of competing at the top, but it always comes down to who has the best focus. This sport is filled with an abundance of variables that require split second decisions before actions can be made. Recently, particular athletes have shown a level of focus that has raised the bar. They have shown unparalleled consistency. Perhaps I should be talking with them while dabbling in a little yoga.

The second mission is fundraising. The offseason means a little more time at home, so I can focus on working to fund the upcoming season. It becomes a lot of hours on the water and in the office, but I don’t mind the work. I believe that you get back what you put into something. This helps a lot to motivate me when I just want to ignore the morning alarm, groundskeeping seems like too much work, or I don’t feel like dealing with customers that day. Then there is my village; my family and friends. You have been so amazing to help fill in the gaps where needed. I can’t tell you how deeply I appreciate you, and how glad I am that you’re on this journey with me. Company always makes the trip better!

Now, there is work to be done! See you on the water!
