Caltech Racing SAE Vehicle

Caltech Racing is a group of 64 dedicated students who are pushing the boundaries of innovation to develop a new generation of sustainable, efficient, and fast vehicles. To go along with this effort, we are participating in an international competition for electric vehicles. To do this, we need the help of prominent businesses in our community. We need your help.

We are building on success. Last year, we successfully converted a gas-powered go kart into a fully electric, highly efficient vehicle powered by a lithium-ion battery.

This year we are taking the next step by building a new, fully electric vehicle from scratch to compete in the 2016 Formula SAE Electric Competition. Our primary goal is to pass technical inspection and complete all of the competition events, a feat that no first-year team has managed to do before. Our long-term goal is to create a strong foundation for future performances in the competition and raise awareness among students and the general public of the performance and sustainability of electric vehicles. As a member of the community or industry, you have the opportunity to join us in our mission.
